Athabasca River at Becker's

This little bend in the river lies at Becker's. The Athabasca is cold, fed by glacial melt and emerald blue due to light scattering by suspended sediments. It's a braided river, twisting and turning, seeking its' level within a wider gravel bed. On the first morning a cow elk and I met - more to my surprise than hers. She returned the second morning but not the following days when I had my camera.
